MANILVA | Manilva Council recently created the "Manilva Awards", a distinction with which it aims to recognize on each October 12, Hispanic Day, those people, entities, communities, clubs or associations whose initiatives or projects constitute "a reason of excellence for the municipality ".
The jury has debated the proposals presented and after their analysis and debate they have declared the following winners:
MANILVA SOLIDARITY AWARD: Goes to "The People of Manilva", for the solidarity shown in the fight against the pandemic with the production of masks and other medical supplies and for their contribution with food and care to the most disadvantaged.
MANILVA BUSINESS AWARD: Goes to "Serviacon", this local company is proving to be a benchmark in entrepreneurship, highlighting the social work it carries out by hiring people with various types of disability for their integration into the work market.
MANILVA DISTINGUISHED AWARD: This award has gone to Julio Salom Herrera, Major General and Chief of Staff of the Spanish Army. Manilveño by adoption, he has enjoyed visiting the town since he was a child and continues to be in love with Sabinillas.
The Mayor of Manilveño highlighted "the good spirit of all those present to reach agreements and designate the prizes in a consensual manner."
