ANDALUCIA | The official app "Radar COVID", developed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, is already fully operational from this Thursday in four autonomous regions.
Andalucia, Cantabria, Aragón and Extremadura have integrated their health systems with the application, so that residents of these communities who have downloaded it will be able to receive notifications if they have been in contact with people infected with coronavirus.
Although the application was available to the autonomous communities since 10 August, it was not until today that the first communities have completed the process of integrating their health systems.
The rest of the regions will be incorporated in the coming days and weeks, according to a statement from the Ministry.
Up until today the application already has had about two million downloads.
'Radar COVID' allows its users to decide whether, in case of being diagnosed with coronavirus, they authorize anonymous notification to owners of all mobiles that they have been less than 2 metres away for 15 minutes or more.
