ESTEPONA | The construction of the river corridor that will run parallel to the Arroyo Las Cañas has begun, creating a new leisure and sports facility in the suburbs, which will especially benefit the residents of the residential areas of Torre Vigía, La Resinera, Las Joyas and Selwo.
At the moment the works are focusing on clearing the surface where the footpath that will connect Calle Lima, in the Selwo Aventura park area, with the stretch of coastal footpath at the mouth of the Las Cañas stream.
The Town Hall has announced that a river corridor will be created that will exceed 800 metres in length and three metres in width and will take around two and a half months to complete.
The aim of the project is to enhance the margins of this stream and add a new attraction to the area, as the public will be able to enjoy a space that until now was inaccessible.
The river corridor will have as a result, healthy walks and bicycle tours can be made because it will be connected to the coastal footpath that will ultimately connect the entire coast of Estepona.
