ESTEPONA | Estepona Council has today installed the longest bridge on the Estepona coastal footpath. This bridge, located on the section currently in progress in the La Morocha area, is 30 metres long and allows the crossing of the Castor River. In this section, another bridge, 20 metres long, was installed last July to bridge the passage over the Arroyo Judío.
The execution of this stretch of coastal corridor, which will be a kilometre long in its entirety, will link the Laguna Village shopping centre with the Dominion Beach urbanization, allowing an uninterrupted 10-kilometre route along the coast, enabling the public to walk from the town centre to the Guadalmansa river.
The next section that will allow continuity from Dominion Beach to the eastern zone is in the process of authorization by the Andalucian Administration.
The project involves an investment of 976,760.60 euros. The works, which are in their final stretch, are 80% funded by the Estepona Town Council and 20% by the Mancomunidad of Costa del Sol Municipalities.
