Manilva joins the national mourning for those who have died from Covid 19

MANILVA | The Mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, has announced that "the Council will join in the official declaration of mourning issued by the Spanish Government for the victims of Covid-19 and tomorrow Wednesday at 12 noon, at the Town Hall entrance, they will observea minute of silence will be kept in memory of the deceased. "
Starting today, Tuesday, May 26, there will be ten days of official mourning in Spain that the government decreed following the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
Never before has the country declared such an extended period of mourning as this, and while it doesn't affect our day-to-day activities it does have follow certain symbolic gestures.
The flags of all official buildings and naval ships will fly at half-mast during the 10 day period.
The fact that period mourning has been decreed throughout the country means that all flags that are flown alongside the Spanish one will also be flown at half-mast.
