Estepona.- Estepona Council is to build a new road in the east of the municipality connecting the residential areas of Atalaya and Casasola thereby improving the connections in the suburbs. The connection of neighboring urbanizations and road safety will be improved, avoiding the need to join the A7 on this section of motorway.
This municipal initiative is included within the Council's Productive Investment Plan, which will mobilize 80 million euros to generate employment and boost the local economy.
The works will allow the circulation of vehicles in both directions of the road. In addition, two pedestrian footpaths will be built so that pedestrians can make journeys on foot through these two residential areas that until now remained incommunicado.
The works, which have a budget of 352,745 euros, also include actions to improve the sewage and rainwater networks in the area, the paving and signaling of the new road, as well as the installation of public lighting and street furniture.
