Estepona.- The remodeling works to eleven new streets within the project 'Estepona, Garden of the Costa del Sol' are already out to tender. This initiative, part of the economic and social development of Estepona's urban centre, has become one of its main tourist attractions.

The works, which have a budget of 1,765,812 euros, include Calle Belén, Cristo del Perdón, San Juan, Valladolid, Barcelona, Goya, Granada, Isaac Albéniz, Castañuela, Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente and Lope de Vega, adding some 10,490.66 square metres to the overall project.
The aim is to modernize and transform these infrastructures to continue to the urban improvement and transformation works that the Council has carried out since 2012 through the initiative 'Estepona Garden on the Costa del Sol', which has already involved the remodeling of 130 streets, that add up to more than 17 linear kilometres of public streets.
The works will consist of the renovation of the paving and street furniture; as well as in the rearrangement of spaces to eliminate barriers to access. The installation of plants and the planting of gardens and trees in sympathy with the environment will also be carried out, in order to contribute to a more sustainable town.
